Join us at Lake Harriet to observe migrating ducks and other waterfowl! 

During fall migration, numerous species of duck, geese, grebes, loons, and gulls, as well as trumpeter and tundra swans may be seen. We will meet along the lakeshore behind the bandshell. Depending on conditions and bird locations, we may walk along the western shore of the lake towards the SW corner. We will travel on a level, paved path and total distance will be less than 1½ miles. There are occasional park benches available.

Good to Know

• This outing is appropriate for all birders, from beginner to experienced.

• Binoculars will be available for those who need them. 

• We will meet rain or shine; be sure to dress for the weather.

• Paid parking and handicap parking is available in the lot; free parking is available along the parkway. 

• Restrooms are available at the bandshell.
